The Accounts Payable Administrator is tasked with the duties of reconciliations of the accounts of the companies’ various suppliers to present for payment, ensuring all documentation meets the minimum legal requirements. In complying with this the administrator builds a Solid relationship with most all departments within the company and those of the companies’ suppliers.

Minimum Requirements…

Matric – Essential or NQF Level 4
Minimum 1-2 years experience as an Accounts Payable Administrator/ Creditors Controller
Have studied an accounting related course
Strong excel skills
Quality driven
Problem Solving

Sound knowledge of creditors reconciliation
Basics of VAT

Job Specification…

Preparation of monthly supplier reconciliations
Follow up through investigation with suppliers’ accounts receivable department all reconciling and disputed items, ensuring no outstanding items
Ensure supplier tax invoices adhere to SARS requirements, and have been issued as per agreement
Develop professional and synergistic working relationships with staff across other departments within VASA
Maintain a good rapport with company suppliers through direct engagement, and ensure that billing differences are resolved professionally and amicably

Manage communication between individuals placing orders and the vendor in instances requiring validation of service billed
Contribute and provide support to occasional finance related initiatives as guided by management
Preparation of TITO supplier payment packs to head office authorisers
Review and approval of club petty cash and business claims
Provide supportive function to all clubs across the business
